The scout skulked in the dark behind the closed doors at the western end of the mines.

His job was to wait and watch.

The most boring job ever but he’d pissed the captain off, so he was stuck here.

He was asleep when the doors started moving slowly outwards.

Scrambling back, he watched from the shadows as a group dashed in, some with weapons in hand.

The doors slammed shut and he heard a tearing sound and heavy thuds outside.

He had no idea what was going on, but he knew he had to alert the bosses.

And fast.
